This Type II pattern is also known as the "National Armory Brown" or "Model 1822." It is dated "1822" on the barrel tang and has standard markings and features and includes a socket bayonet with a scabbard.
Very good as reconverted with dark brown patina, mostly mild pitting, heavy pitting on the buttplate, and general scratches and dings. The lock was refinished when it was reconverted and has some blue finish under the cock, mottled brown and gray patina, and pitting at the tail. The stock is also very good with crisp cartouches and has some minor hairline cracks and chips, various scrapes and dings, a sliver absent at the butt on the right, a spliced repair below the lock, repaired crack in the wrist, and a crack in the left flat. Mechanically fine.
