The lock has the royal cipher at the center and "PORTO/1799" at the tail. The barrel has proofs at the tail and a stud for a ramrod swivel at the muzzle. A saddle ring bar is on the left side. "R6/A/1" is marked on the buttplate tang.

Good with a coat of lacquer/oil over most of the lock and barrel, some light pitting, and minor oxidation. The brass has aged patina. The ramrod entry pipe is chipped. The ramrod is a replacement, and the rod swivel and sling ring are absent. The lightly sanded and re-oiled stock is also good with a repaired crack at the tail of the lock, some insect holes, and some minor scratches and dents. Mechanically fine.
