Description:Colt's New Line series were the pocket sized companions of the ever popular Colt Single Action Army. This attractive example was manufactured in 1874 (the second year of production) and has nearly full coverage deluxe factory scroll, punch dot, and geometric engraving patterns; attractive mother of pearl grips, blade and top strap groove sights, the early two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses on the barrel, and matching serial numbers on the barrel and butt.
Rating Definition:Very fine with 75% plus original nickel plating, 60% plus original niter blue on the hammer, some minor oxidation and pitting concentrated on the cylinder, and aged patina on the exposed brass. The grips are fine with mild patination, a small surface chip, and light handling wear. Mechanically excellent.
