Manufactured in 1893. The accompanying factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish. It was shipped to Colt's San Francisco Agency as part of a 5 gun shipment on 26 June 1894. It has the three-line barrel address/patent dates marking, "COLT D.A. 41" on the left barrel side, circled Rampant Colt on the frame and matching assembly numbers ("475") on both grip panels, barrel, frame, crane, cylinder and cylinder latch. Also comes with an August 2002 dated receipt from Douglas Carlson Antique American Firearms of Des Moines, Iowa.
Excellent. The revolver retains 95% original nickel plating with most of the loss on the cylinder. The hammer and trigger retain 70% original niter blue finish. The grips are also excellent showing a few minor scratches and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
