Part of the early German re-armament program under the recently-ascended Nazi Party, the "K" date Lugers were manufactured in 1934 in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Fixed sights, with the "K" date on the chamber, "S/42" code on the front toggle link, and "S" proof stamps on a number of components, along with "B][90" stamps on the extension and barrel and "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Some small parts are straw finished, with niter blue pins and screws, and a bright finished alloy base magazine marked "551/a/+/B][90". Numbers are matching overall, including the grips. Included with the pistol is a brown leather flap holster marked "LEDERWERKE/KARL ACKVA A.G./BAD KREUZNAH/1934" and "eagle/WaA136" on the front, with a brass tipped steel cleaning rod and a blued takedown tool.
Very fine with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray patina on the grip straps, bright high edges and a few dings around the takedown latch. 60% of the original straw colors are present, and the grips show a few dings and stained areas. The holster is very good with some tears in the magazine pouch edges and a number of scuffs and chips. Mechanically excellent.
