Manufactured in 1911. This revolver features factory scroll engraving on the rear barrel sides and scroll and punch dot on the frame sides. The top strap has a dot motif, and the back strap has a zig zag line and dot motif at the top and bottom. The front of the cylinder flats have a simple leaf design, and there is a floral design in the center of the scroll engraving on the right rear of the frame. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, and the left side is marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 38." Blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered "COLT" embossed grips which are numbered to the gun.
Fine. The revolver retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some pin prick type pitting (mostly on the cylinder). The grips are fine with small chip missing near the bottom and a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp overall. Mechanically excellent.
