Manufactured in 1927. The left side of the barrel has the Winchester model/trademark/nickel steel legend followed by "30 W.C.F.", and the right side has the two-line address with the factory proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line manufacturer/trademark information, and the underside of the frame has the serial number. Half magazine with the takedown latch, Lyman beaded blade front and an adjustable sporting type rear sights. Smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with steel forend cap and serrated steel buttplate.
Fine. The barrel retains 80% of the original blue finish with scattered scratches and dings, and minor muzzle wear. The receiver retains 70% of the blue finish with a spot of cold blue visible on left forward side, scattered scratches and dings, minor brown speckling, and a smooth silver patina on the underside. The markings are clear. The wood is also fine with scattered scratches, dings, and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
