Manufactured in 1912. The two-line address is marked on the top of the barrel and "32 W.C.F." on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three-patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark and a "W" on the left rear. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and the assembly number "52" is marked on the loading gate. Blue finish with a casehardened frame and hammer, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.
Very good. The barrel retains 50% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. Much of the original blue finish remains in the cylinder flutes with a smooth dark brown patina on the balance. The grip straps have a smooth mottled gray patina. The frame shows strong original case colors in protected areas with a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The grips are good with a moderate gouge and a few minor nicks on the left panel and overall moderate wear to the checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
