Description:Manufactured in 1958 and subsequently custom engraved and gold plated. This revolver features full floral design engraving. The only surface not engraved is the cylinder flutes. The revolver has also been completely gold plated and is fitted with smooth grips. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line address, the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL", and the two-line/three-patent date marking is on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and the left side of the grip straps under the grip. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, 7 1/2 inch barrel and that it had a blue finish and grips as "Not Listed" when it was shipped as 1 to Firearms Unlimited in Pittsburgh, Pa. on October 8, 1958.
Rating Definition:Very good as custom embellished and refinished with 90% delicate, flaking gold finish remaining. The grips are excellent. The engraving and markings are clear. The action is fine. It should be noted that handling of the revolver causes finish to flake.
