Manufactured in 1942 for issue to an officer (not lend lease!). Fixed sights, with the two-block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and "U.S. PROPERTY" on the right side of the frame below the caliber markings. Fitted with a magazine well safety, checkered nickel medallion grips, and three full-blue magazines with "CAL. 32/COLT" marked bases. With a plain brown cardboard storage box and a fold-out factory instruction sheet.
Excellent with 98% plus of the original parkerized finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, a thin scratch on the left side of the frame below the slide, and some minor handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few dings on the crisp checkering. Box is fair, with one side absent from the lid and an assortment of hand markings, and the instruction sheet is very good aside from some crease tears. Mechanically excellent.
