The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/King's Improvement dates ahead of the rear sight. The upper receiver tang is marked "MODEL. 1873." in fancy letters flanked foliate designs, and the serial number is stamped in script on the lower tang. It has a dovetailed blade front and adjustable rear buckhorn sporting sights. Blue finish with silver plated receiver, buttplate and forend cap, casehardened hammer, lever and buttplate and is mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. The tang of the buttplate is engraved with a floral vine design and buttplate has a cowboy with a matte background.
Very fine as custom embellished finished with 97% blue finish remaining showing some mild edge wear and a few minor dings. Most of the vivid case colors remain on the hammer and lever. Almost al of the bright niter blue remains on the loading gate. The remaining parts retain 95% plus silver plating, some of which has darkened with age. The wood is also very fine with some scattered minor dents, dings and crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
