A variant of Switzerland's Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull service rifle for sniper duty, with a 2.8x scope mounted to the left side of the receiver, equipped with a swiveling periscope head that folds down into the stock for protection during transport and a "tangent staff" elevation adjustment mechanism. Blade and tangent sights, with the Swiss Cross on top of the receiver, with matching numbers on the barrel, magazine, bolt body, and the rear of the swiveling scope head. Smooth pistol grip stock with forearm grasping grooves, a brown leather sling, small Swiss Cross proof on the right side and a smooth flat buttplate.
Excellent, with 95% plus of the original matte blue finish, showing areas of gray patina around the front sight and scattered mild handling marks. The stock is very fine, with scattered dents and some mild scuffs. Optics are a bit hazy but otherwise good. Mechanically excellent.
