Produced at an unknown date, this pistol deviates strongly from both Galesi's in-house designs and their early FN/Browning influences, producing a blowback operated 7.65mm pistol strongly patterned after Walther's PP family of pistols. In addition to adjusting the angle and contour of the grip, the combination decocker and safety has been replaced with a single-purpose safety block that permits cycling and dry firing when engaged, and the trigger guard is now solidly installed, a small takedown button replacing the Walther's hinged takedown trigger guard. This specific pistol appears in H.B. Lockhoven's "Arms Archives", registration number "AIII 0133". Fixed sights, with the hand engraved 2-line address and caliber markings on the left side of the slide, serrated ring hammer, smooth trigger, and checkered fancy hardwood grips with "RG" medallions.
Excellent, with 98% plus of the original blue finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall. The metal shows a number of small machining marks, the occasional tiny divot in the surface, and a few rough or reshaped edges, typical of short-run test production. Grips are very good, with a few dings and scuffs along with fine grain and color. Mechanically very good.
