Measuring 36 1/2 inches overall with a 31 1/4 inch blade and a gilt hilt. The blade is of an etched single fuller design with the Weyersberg logo on the right ricasso, "JOH. FRIEDR. BOCK, HOFLIEFERANT BERLIN" on the spine and a pair of etched panels on the sides; "Anklam 1912." on the left and "Fritz Scharf s/l. Walter Luttich" on the right. Raised oak leaf and acorn designs are present on the hilt with an enamel finished brass and silver "SUUM CUIQUE" star of the Order of the Black Eagle on the right languet, an array of crossed swords, flowers and an Iron Cross on the knuckle guard, wire wrapped sharkskin grip and a "jawless" style lion head pommel properly without red eye inserts. With a black enamel finished scabbard. The officer the blade is inscribed to is unknown, but, somewhat unusually, this swords shows evidence of having been professionally sharpened with a true edge applied for 21 inches down from the tip and a sharp 3 1/2 inch false edge.
Very good. The blade shows light polishing marks with a small amount of spotting and mild handling marks. Mild hand wear is present on the grip with a few dings on the brass. The scabbard is good as repainted with a minor bend near the tip and scattered dents.
