Manufactured circa 1949-1954 with the early 5-screw configuration and pinned barrel. Fitted with a ramp blade front sight and adjustable square notch rear sight with the standard markings on the ribbed barrel, "MADE IN U.S.A." marked frame, large logo on the side plate, casehardened checkered hammer and serrated trigger, serrated grip straps and checkered medallion grips. With a properly marked Smith & Wesson "gold box", barrel brush, barrel swab and vapor wrapper.
Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing some bright wear on the high points, light spotting on the cylinder and scattered handling marks. The sights appear to have been lightly reshaped and polished and has a mild ding on the left corner of the rear sight. Bright case colors are present on the hammer and trigger, and the grips show a few light pressure dents. Box is good, with wear appropriate to age. Mechanically good.
Made circa 1946-1952. Configured as A, with a Patridge blade front sight. The gold box comes with a warranty card (for another revolver) and a "Helpful Hints" pamphlet.
Excellent with 95% plus original blue finish showing some light handling marks and a few areas of brown patina. The face of the trigger has faded slightly with some mild wear on the sides of the hammer otherwise case colors are bright and vivid. Grips are very good with a few scuffs and dings. Box is good with mild wear. Mechanically very good.
