Manufactured in 1922. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the caliber designation with the address and patent date in two lines between the barrel band and the rear sight. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval proof at the breech. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. US PAT OFF & FGN." and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. It features a blade front sight on a stud with an adjustable ladder folding rear sight graduated to 20, full length magazine, saddle ring on the left side rear of the receiver, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.
Fine. The rifle retains 60% of the original finish with most of the finish retained on the barrel, blue remaining on the sides of the lever, the loading gate, and the bolt, and some traces on the frame with an otherwise light brown patina on the exposed surfaces on the frame and a darker brown patina on the bottom of the lever, the tangs, and the buttplate. The crisp wood is also fine with some spots and minor storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
