Manufactured in the early 1900s. The lower right side of the receiver is marked with a small crown over "HAANDVAABENVAERKSTEDERNE KJOBENHAVN.", the left side is marked "AUTOMAT./SYSTEM SJOGREN/PATENT.", "crown / S" proof on the left side of the receiver and barrel, and the matching serial number on the left side receiver, take down assembly ring and barrel. In addition there are various Swedish proof marks and "9618.1610.08 C 17.4" on the left rear of the barrel. Unusual action in that the entire top of the receiver slides (cycles) on rails on either side of the lower receiver. Tang safety and mounted with a multi point checkered forearm and smooth straight grip stock with a serrated black hard rubber buttplate with a molded "SAV" monogram. There is a sling swivel mounted on the front of the magazine tube and on the stock. 2 3/4 inch chamber, choked full and a 14 1/2 inch length of pull.
Very good. The barrel retain 25% original thin blue finish mixed with smooth gray patina. The trigger guard has a smooth grayish patina. The remaining metal surfaces retain 95% original blue finish with some mild thinning and edge wear. The wood is excellent with a few minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
