Manufactured in 1956 (receiver). Hooded ramp front sight and first variety African rear sight on a barrel with the Winchester address on the left side. The Winchester factory style oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver and "-SUPER GRADE-" marked on floor plate. Jewelled bolt, extractor and follower with the bolt numbered to the gun. Late safety, hallow bolt knob, straight receiver tang and quick release sling swivels. The nicely figured high comb pistol grips stock features multi-point checkering, ebony forend cap, metal grip cap, cheekpiece and solid Winchester recoil pad.
