He represented his company in several shooting matches and was a member of the New York State Rifle team which participated in national matches at Camp Perry. Rating Definition:

Very fine as period customized. The receiver retains most of the original parkerized finish. The period replated nickel finish has frosted with age, there is some flaking and oxidation. The period customized stock remains fine with some minor dings and handling marks, and crisp checkering. The sling is good with some flex cracking and moderate wear. The oiler is very good. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
