Manufactured in 1863 with a four screw frame cut for a shoulder stock. The top of the barrel has the one line New York address flanked by dashes, the left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT", and the cylinder has the Navy battle scene and the restamped number "2741". Small inspector letters are present on most of the major components. Matching numbers are found on the barrel, frame, grip straps, cylinder, wedge and arbor pin. Blue with casehardened frame and fitted with a smooth one piece grip.
Good as partially refinished/remarked (cylinder renumbered). The revolver retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The loading lever retains 70% darkened original case colors. Barrel address has been re-cut. Much of the cylinder scene remains. The brass trigger guard has an even patina. The grip is very fine with a small chip missing near the bottom, a series of circular pressure dents on the bottom and a few minor handling marks overall. Mechanically fine.
