This is a late war example manufactured by the Berlin-Lubecker company with the "qvu" wartime code. Late war rough forged receiver marked with an "eagle/214" proof next to the serial number, "(1840)/K43/qvu 45". Type two rough cast bolt carrier with the bolt latch on the right side and hollow cocking knob with reinforcing web on top. Stamped action cover. Laminated stock and late war resin handguard. The stock has a faint Eagle/214 proof on the left side with a restamped "H" and Eagle /WaA135" proofs on the right side, below the sling slot. Fitted with a post-war Czechoslovakian ZF4 type sniper scope with an early reproduction scope mount stamped with a small Eagle 214 Waffenamt proof. The scope is marked on the left side "Z1 49/OM262". The locking lever is marked "fest" and "lose" and with a reproduction leather and wooden plug lens cover and a reproduction rain shield. With one reproduction box magazine that is marked on the side "gcb/G43/K43". Complete with the cleaning rod, front sight cover and reproduction cross-hatched leather sling.
Fine condition with 85% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The stock has been sanded lightly with a light varnish applied, with visible markings. The scope and mount are very fine with 90% of the blued finish overall, with nice clear sharp optics. The various accessories are all excellent. A nice late example of a K43 snipe rifle rig.
