These were the last of the new manufacture Weimar Police Lugers issued in 1929/32 as manufactured at the old DWM factory. These are termed the 1929 Police Model and were produced under German rearmament program. They are characterized by having almost no visible markings, intending to hide the build up. They fall into the "U" serial number range with this one being marked with only the "dove inspection proof/WaA66 and Eagle/H" acceptance proofs on the left side of the barrel extension. There is no chamber date or maker's mark on the correct blank toggle. The front grip strap is marked with "L.Ar. 418" indicating issuance to the Landagerei Arnsberg (Rural Police, Arnsberg). It is fitted with the partial sear and magazine safety (deactivated). It has standard walnut grips and a WWI nickel plated magazine with the wooden base marked "1/1873//418" and a brown unmarked or dated leather holster.
Very fine with 75% of the blue finish overall with even honest wear overall with browning and thinning on the grip straps. The various small parts retain 60% of their straw colors overall. There are some minor/small pitting spots on the side plate, takedown lever and trigger. The grips are good with the left side showing a heavy flat/pressure dents spot directly behind the magazine release. The holster is good with nice tight stitching showing scuffs and heavier scratches on the front with wear or scraping on the edges and high spots.
