Produced shortly after the transition from the "crown/N" commercial stamp to the "eagle/N" stamp. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the left side of the slide marked with the Walther Banner followed by "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/Walthers Patent Cal.22" followed by "Mod PP", "eagle/N" proofs on the slide, chamber and muzzle. The final 3 digits of the serial number are properly hand-scribed inside the slide. Checkered Walther grips, with the scarce target style full hand extension in matching black plastic mounted on the magazine base. With a gold embossed wood grain Walther box, numbered "143462 P" but otherwise properly labeled for the pistol, Walther PP/PPK manual and brass cleaning rod in wax paper pouches, Walther cleaning tin with cloth, fibrous cleaning material and oil bottle, and 2 boxes of period Sinoxid 22 caliber ammunition (22 Short and Long Rifle). Also included is an original Walther factory letter concerning the use of lubricated .22 ammo.
Excellent plus, with 99% of the bright original high polish blue finish, showing some very minor edge wear and handling marks overall. The grips and base extension are equally excellent. Box is fine, with wear concentrated along the edges. Ammunition boxes are fine, as sealed in plastic (contents not inspected). Mechanically excellent.
