FN style "ac/44" code (stamped over "ac/43" markings) marked slide with "Eagle/WaA135" proofs. Ribbed grips, visible "d" block serial numbers match and "P.38v/U" marked magazine with an "Eagle/WaA135" proof on the spine. Phosphate finish with blue magazine.
Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish showing loss at the muzzle and some minor thinning. The remaining metal surfaces retain 70% thin original phosphate finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. An area of minor pitting is present on the slide (left side). The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks showing initials lightly marked on the bottom of the right panel.
Late WWII or early post war assembled P38 using an early zero-series frame with the late war (ac) marked slide. This pistol has a blend of the early commercial frame and barrel with a late war slide. The early frame is correctly marked on the right side with only the serial number while the slide is a correct military model that is stamped on the left side "P. 38/ac-45" however it is numbered on the right front rail in the zero-series commercial manner. The slide does have two "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proofs, along with a eagle firing proof. The barrel is also numbered on the front lug in the commercial manner with the serial number and no acceptance proofs. Fitted with ribbed grips. Late hammer and a phosphate finished "jvd" magazine.
Very fine. The pistol retains 80% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks.
