Introduced in 1938, production of the Vz38 was cut short by the Nazi Occupation. A limited number are known to have been delivered to Bulgaria, with the 38's double action only mechanism converted to single/double action, along with the installation of a thumb safety. Blade and notch sights, with the one line "PRAZE" (Prague) address on the left side of the slide, stacked matching slide and frame numbers, "Rampant Lion on N/41" on the left side of the frame, with the straw finished safety lever on the side plate with positions marked "O" (fire) and "Z" (safe). Checkered wraparound grips, with "CZ" imprints and bottom-mounted magazine catch.
Excellent with 97% of the original blue finish. Showing light handling marks and edge wear overall, along with some hints of a gray patina. 90% of the original straw finish is present on the small components. Grips are excellent with a few minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.
