Manufactured in 1927. This revolver has a 2 inch barrel that is simply marked "38 SPECIAL" on the left side. It is very rare to find a Colt revolver without the address and model on the barrel. The Rampant Colt is on the left side of the frame, the Colt "VP" triangle proof is on the upper left front of the trigger guard and the assembly number "3" at the rear. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and crane. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, all nickel finish and fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, checkered grips and that it was shipped as 1 of 2 to Gus Habich Company in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 22, 1927.
Excellent. The revolver retains 97% plus frosted original nickel finish with some minor flaking and blistering. There is a noticeable drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with some minor wear, a few tiny dings and crisp checkering. Clear markings. The action is excellent.
