This is a late war K43 semi automatic rifles as manufactured in 1945, by the Berlin-Lubecker factory. This example is fitted with a ZF4 sniper scope and mount. The left side of the receiver is marked: "Eagle/ 214/4254/K.43, qve 45". It was manufactured with the single bolt guide, with a bolt carrier that has the hollow cocking knob on the left side with the latch on the right side and the unthreaded muzzle. It has the standard front and rear sights, graduated from 100-1200 with a sheet metal front sight cover. It is fitted with the correct laminated stock that has the double "Eagle/WaA214" Waffenamt proof on the right side, single proof in the pistol grip and underside of the stock. The stock is fitted with the cupped sheet metal buttplate with trap door. The handguard is the late war red-resin coated laminated version. As noted this rifle has a non-matching K43 scope mount and ZF 4 scope. The mount has the "Eagle/214" waffenamt proof with the earlier round ends. The scope is marked "Gw Z F 4/66483/K43/ddx" and is complete with a reproduction sheet metal rain shield, rubber eyepiece and original lens caps that is the leather front and wooden plug for the rear. The rifle has one magazine that is marked "aye/K43" on the side. The rifle is complete with a cleaning rod, sheet metal front sight hood, and early post war unmarked leather sling.
Excellent with 97% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The scope and handguard are also excellent with minor handling marks in various places, and a couple of heavier pressure dents near the front barrel band. The scope and mount both retain 90% of their blue finish overall with clear optics. The strap for the leather lens cap has torn in two but is included with the lot.
