Description:
The cast iron cannon is 26 inches long and the muzzle has a 2 inch opening. A large raised King George III (1738-1820) royal cypher is located on top of the cannon just ahead of the touch hole. The GR cypher includes the Roman numeral III. The cannon is elevation adjustable as mounted on a wooden carriage. The carriage is 23 1/4 inch long and 9 1/4 inches wide with wooden wheels measuring 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
Rating Definition:
Very good. The cannon has an attractive smooth brown patina. The carriage is good and mostly intact.
