Standard two line Hartford address with the 1884 and 1888 patent dates stamped on the top of the barrel, "COLT D. A. 41" on the left and the circled Rampant Colt on the left rear of the frame. The serial number is marked on the toe of the back strap and matching assembly number "806" is marked on the cylinder release, crane and frame. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, nickel finish with niter blue hammer (polished sides) and trigger, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT/Rampant Colt/1894" in a circle at the top.
Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus original nickel finish with a couple areas of minor pitting on the left side of the frame. There is some scattered frosting. Almost all of the original bright niter blue remains on the hammer and triggerman. The grips are excellent plus with a few light handling marks and very crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. One will have to look for a long time to locate a better Colt Model 1894 DA Revolver!
