Manufactured in 1919 and later engraved by N.C. Foster in 1972. The barrel has the one line Hartford address on top with "45 Colt" inside a banner on the left side and "ENGRAVING BY- N.C. FOSTER S.A. TEX. 1972" on the underside. The sides of the barrel, ejector housing and hammer are floral scroll and punch dot engraved with the front sight also engraved. The scrollwork is also featured on the frame, front strap, top strap, and butt. The back strap features a line and dot engraving with a fan pattern at the top. The trigger guard has a line and dot engraving. The cylinder has the scrollwork on the chambers and a double line pattern engraving at the rear. Nickel plated with gold plated ejector, cylinder pin, hammer and trigger. Matching numbers of frame, trigger guard (inside an engraved banner) and back strap. Fitted with gold Colt medallion pearl grips.
Professionally embellished by Custom Engraver N.C. Foster. The revolver retains 97% of the nickel finish showing some light speckling on the grip straps and a light cylinder drag line. Most of the gold plating remains. The grips are excellent with a few mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
