This example was manufactured in 1943 and has fixed low profile sights, the two line address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt logo behind the serrations, and the caliber markings on the right. The frame is marked "U.S. PROPERTY" on the right side, there is a faint ordnance cartouche on the left side behind the safety/slide stop and is fitted with checkered walnut grips with Rampant Colt medallions.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% arsenal parkerized finish showing some high edge wear, some scattered minor scratches and a few scuff marks on the grip straps. There is some oxidation and pitting on the muzzle. The grips are very good with chipping on the toe of the left panel and smoothed checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
