Marked "dar 1943" on top, with a green paint finish, full elevation and traverse adjustment, integral recoil buffer and optical sight base, mount, range chart mounted on the rear, a pair of leather shoulder straps and 2 leather pads on the front leg.

Very good, with 90% of the WWII green paint finish with flaking and showing a mixed patina on the metal surfaces overall. The leather shows mild scuffs and dents. Elevation, traverse and firing mechanisms all appear to be in good working order. A perfect companion piece for a vintage MG42 machine gun, a post-War MG2, or a modern semi-automatic reproduction.
