Manufactured in late 1937. Standard barrel and upper tang markings, Winchester oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, ramped blade front, (hood absent) and adjustable semi buck horn rear sights. All blue finish and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a flat serrated steel buttplate.
Very Fine. The rifle retains 80% plus original blue finish with signs of some cleaning on the left side of the barrel and magazine tube and some thinning and edge wear on the receiver. The barrel band is a mix of original blue finish and gray patina with some minor oxidation. The lever shows some minor spotting. The wood is excellent with a few minor pressure dents and handling marks. The markings remain sharp. The action is fine.
