Manufactured in 1952. The left front of the barrel is marked with the one line address over "U.S. PAT. D-121.317", the left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt over "MATCH TARGET" and the left side of the slide is marked "COLT" followed by the two line caliber designation. The serial number is marked on the right side of the frame with "AF" added as a prefix and the left side of the barrel has been stamped with single letter stamps "U.S.A.F. PROPERTY". The right rear of the frame is marked with the letter "X". Pinned ramp blade front and adjustable rear target sights, serrated trigger and grip straps, parkerized Colt marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with right hand thumb rest. The accompanying factory letter verifies serial number 114902-S as 22 caliber, 6 inch barrel, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 5 to Roanoke Hardware Company, Ronanoke, Virginia on October 16, 1952.
Refinished with 95% of the parkerized finish remaining. There is some overall scattered minor pitting under the finish. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and some wear to the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
