Excellent World War II Mauser "42" Code 1939 Dated Luger Pistol with 1939 Dated Holster
Chamber dated 1939 and toggle marked "42", with eagle/63 and firing proofs on the barrel extension and barrel with the firing proof repeated on the breechblock. Safety position and extractor marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. Matching full or partial numbers on the pistol. Checkered walnut grips and non-matching blue magazine with aluminum base (1048g). Complete with a Genschow holster dated 1939.
Excellent. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish with the grip straps thinned to a brown and some thinning to a brown overall. The grips are also excellent with a few minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering. The holster is good with age cracking and flaking overall. The stitching is tight. Mechanically excellent.
