Description:

Crown/crown/U late 19th Century proofs on the cylinder, and frame with two crowns stamped on the bottom barrel flat. There are no maker markings. Folding trigger, loading gate, and ejector rod mounted on the right side. Fitted with hard rubber grips featuring a man on a bicycle aiming a revolver at a dog. Complete with a leather holster.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The metal surfaces have been cleaned bright and there is some mild pitting. The grips are excellent with a clear and crisp image. The holster is fine.

Description:

The six shot cylinder is marked "THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL OF 1878". Broad scroll engraved cylinder and frame with a line pattern on the barrel and back strap and a dot motif on the butt. Fitted with deep relief floral motif hard rubber grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 60% original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The left panel has been repaired, otherwise the grips are fine with a few minor handling marks and some bottom edge chipping (left panel).
