This lot consists of two identical flintlock pistols. The part octagon smooth bore barrel gauges at approximately .62 caliber with "DAMASSE" marked on the top flat. The barrel is also engraved at the breech with a "crown/M" on the top flat and a band at the mid-point. The upper tang and trigger guard are engraved. Full length stock with a metal band on the forearm near the muzzle. The back of the grip area has two engraved overlays. Flared butt with floral design on the cap. Complete with a replacement wooden ramrod.

Very good. The barrel has a smooth dark brown patina with some protective coating remaining. The trigger guard retains traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The stock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches and a couple minor pressure dents.
