Description:Manufactured in 1927. The left side of the slid is marked with the two line Hartford address/patent dates with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 25" on the right side. The right side of the frame is marked with the Ordnance wheel and "U.S. PROPERTY". The left side of the trigger guard has the Colt "VP" proof and the number "1", with the number "35" on the opposite. The pistol has the late type replacement all blue magazine, checkered medallion grips and barrel. These late replacement parts are often found on .25 caliber Model 1908 U.S. Property marked pistols. Complete with a cardboard box. This pistol is pictured in John W. Brunner's book THE COLT POCKET HAMMERLESS AUTOMATIC PISTOLS (page 89, 1st edition).
Rating Definition:Near mint. The pistol retains 99% plus of the refurbished black parkerized finish with some finished over minor (mostly on the left side of the slide and grip safety). The grips are excellent with a couple minor nicks in the crisp checkering.
