Description:

Manufactured from 1940 to 1942. Half moon front and frame notch rear sights, 6-shot fluted cylinder, smooth walnut grips, and lanyard ring on the butt. Barrel has the two line S&W address/patent dates marking on the top, caliber marking on the right, and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left. Frame has importer marking on left side, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the top strap, and the S&W trademark on the right side along with British proofs around "MADE IN U.S.A." Butt is marked with the serial number and "WB ordnance bomb P". Parkerized with casehardened hammer and trigger and blued cylinder pin.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains over 95% original parkerized finish with some minor thinning and some minor scratches with a strong cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger retain 95% original case colors. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks with a couple minor notches on the bottom edges. Action functions properly, but cylinder latch is frozen.

Manufactured from 1940 to 1945, this revolver has the same markings as described in "A", but with "GHD" / ordnance bomb B / P" double stamped on the butt. Fitted with smooth walnut grips and a lanyard ring. Parkerized with casehardened trigger and hammer and blued cylinder pin.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original parkerized finish with some minor scratches and a noticeable cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger retain over 97% original case colors. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks (more prevalent on the right panel).
