The included copy of a factory letter lists this revolver in .44 caliber with a 5 1/2" barrel, blue and casehardened finish, walnut grips, Book style French fit presentation case with gold title on the front t and spine, "BUTTERFIELD DISPATCH SPECIAL EDITION", and affixed to the inside of the lid is the ten commandments of the Butterfield Stage Route when shipped to B.E. Hodgdon, Inc. in Shawnee Mission, Kansas on November 21, 1979. The letter goes on to list the mentioned above special features of the special edition and lists it as one of 500. Includes presentation book case, papers, and an extra cylinder.
Excellent overall with original finish, handling marks, and high edge wear. Mechanically excellent Case is very fine.
