Manufactured in 1937, this example is a deluxe version of the Model 71 carbine. It has a hooded ramp blade front sight with bead, an adjustable buckhorn style rear sight and a 3/4 magazine. Standard markings on the barrel, with the factory proof on the barrel and receiver and the serial number on the underside of the frame. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with end cap, sling swivel studs, factory hard rubber pistol grip cap and checkered steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and magazine retain 60% faded original blue finish and the frame and lever retain 30% blue with the overall balance a smooth gray patina. The buttplate has a smooth gray patina. The forearm is fine with a couple minor dents and a few minor dings and scratches. The buttstock has some large areas where the varnish has been chipped/scuffed away, otherwise good with a couple minor dents and numerous minor scratches. Overall the grip and forearm checkering remain very good. Mechanically excellent.
