Made in 1945. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Checkered stamped trigger, thin serrated hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips. High Standard barrel, with the full blue magazine marked "R" on the toe.
Excellent, with 99% of the original parkerized finish, showing some small areas of brown and red spotting, along with scattered light handling marks. Grips are excellent, with a few light dents. Mechanically excellent.
