Produced in France circa 1860-1870, this pistol used a vertically oriented turret cylinder to fire ten rounds in one loading. Raised bead front and notch rear sights, with extensive floral pattern engraving, scroll and leaf patterns on the folding trigger and bar hammer, cut-through flower patterns on the side plates, and leaf designs on the backstrap. Grips are checkered ebony, with a mild knuckle on the backstrap and raised leaf pattern near the frame.
Very good, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the surface, along with a few light handling marks. Grips are very good, with some flattering of the checkering. Mechanically functions.
