Description:
Produced between 1952 and 1955, with the early style small locking screw. Serrated blade front and notch rear sights, pinned barrel with standard markings, four line markings and small Smith & Wesson proof on the 4-screw frame, serrated cylinder latch, casehardened hammer, and backstrap safety. Grips are smooth walnut with Smith & Wesson medallions. One of the first of this model produced having the small locking screw on the upper side plate screw.
Rating Definition:
Excellent, with 99% of the original blue finish, showing light wear on the backstrap safety and a few minor handling marks. The grips are excellent, with light handling marks. Excellent action.
