Manufactured in 1907 with front blade, rear notch sights, and equipped with an ejector. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line Colt address, the left side is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44-40" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, the trigger guard, and the butt. Fitted with two-piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt marking on the upper portions.
Very good as partially refinished. The barrel shows 40% of the original finish exclusively on the right side with the left forward side having been cold blued with the balance a smooth gray and some minor scattered pitting. The ejector rod housing is an ill-fitting, too short replacement. The frame retains a trace of case colors in protected areas with a smooth gray and minor pitting overall. The grips are very good with some overall light handling marks. Mechanically very good.
