Produced between 1817 and 1820. Brass blade sight on the split barrel band, with the breech marked "P/ US" and the backstrap going clear from the breech to the buttcap. Markings on the lock plate are fading, with the "S" of "U S" and "MIDLn CON." legible. Smooth grip with a hickory ramrod, iron trigger guard and buttcap.
Fair as reconverted to flintlock, with scattered spotting and streaks of brown and black patina across the surface, along with some dings and dents overall. Wood is sanded and refinished, with three long cracks in the left side, smaller cracks on the right, patched areas, pressure dents and scratches. Action functions, but lacks half-cock position.
