The receiver has the 'rolled' M1903A-4 markings: "US/REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" on the left side of the scope mount and the serial number, "24002784" on the right side. The left side of the stock is stamped with the post-WWII Rock Island Arsenal rebuild mark: "RIA/EB" in a rectangle. The rifle has the correct "R" marked bolt with milled handle, parkerized "REDFIELD" scope mount with parkerized rings and stamped barrel bands and trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with approximately 99% of the arsenal parkerized finish remaining with limited edge wear and some light handling marks. The markings are clear. The reoiled stock is very fine with minimal handling marks and faint cartouches (mentioned above). The scope retains approximately 98% of the original blue finish mixed with the faint beginnings of a smooth brown patina and some minor scratches. The optics are clear.
