Developed and introduced in the 1970s, the FN Minimi has been a mainstay squad automatic weapon with multiple nations through the 20th and into the 21st century, including the United States as the M249 and Mark 46 Mod 0 with the Army and Navy. The "Para" configuration includes a short barrel and a telescoping buttstock to reduce the overall length for parachute operations. Hooded adjustable pin front and peep rear sights, with a ported flash hider, swiveling carry handle and heat shield installed on the barrel, adjustable bipod and plastic handguard mounted to the gas cylinder, Picatinny rail on the top cover, dual belt/magazine feed mechanism on the receiver with FN markings on the left side, pushbutton safety on the trigger housing, and a two position telescoping buttstock with alloy buttplate and steel folding shoulder rest. Included with the lot are three extra barrels, one in Para length and two in Standard length, two heat shields and two flash hiders.
Very fine as modified, with visible welds on the receiver, and mild handling marks overall. The plastic furniture shows mild scuffs and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
