Built with a blued steel barrel featuring a ramped beaded blade front sight with casehardened hood, a casehardened island rear sight with blued blade, front sling swivel, and "African" and "375 H&H" marked on the left side ahead of the chamber. The barrel is fitted to a blued action with the factory marking on the left side, jeweled bolt body, casehardened bolt sleeve. The action is topped with a set of beautifully casehardened mounts and gold inlaid and engraved quick detach rings. The triggerguard and magazine floorplate show matching engraving and gold inlay with a highly detailed roaring lion bust at the center. The engraving is signed on the floorplate "Scalese" for American Master Engraver Diane Scalese. The rifle is mounted in a gorgeously figured and fancy fleur-de-lis checkered pistol grip stock with ebony forend tip, ebony grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, rear sling stud, and a Decelerator recoil pad. Included with the rifle is a load data sheet, an extra casehardened magazine, and a Kilimanjaro branded Pelican 1750 case.
Excellent, retaining 99% original blue, gold, and casehardened finishes with only minor handling evidence. There is a stress line at the rear of the upper tang; otherwise, the wood is excellent with minimal handling evidence and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
