Description:
Manufactured in 1926. Standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated shotgun buttplate. With only 24,916 produced, the Winchester Model 53 is relatively much scarcer than most of their other lever action models.
Rating Definition:
Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with smooth brown patina on the balance. The wood is also very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
